Nomadland by Jessica Bruder Book Review

Nomadland is an attempt to describe the transformation of existing retirees into the new breed of new vagabonds. For millions of baby-boomers, retirement has become the new way of life, a sea-change that has not only created a new way of life, but also a new kind of workforce. The book is essentially a description of the life of people who have left their homes, social circles and work and have ended up traveling around the country, living in recreational vehicle parks in the desert, and taking temporary jobs picking fruit, laying sod, and doing other temporary work wherever the jobs are.
